Celebrating 52 Continues

Last night I did manage to surprise my good friends Patrick and Anna by bringing my party to them. Champagne and tequila (separately -- really, what were you thinking?) and lots of catching up on the busy two months that it's been since the Wedding Prank Involving My Jeep (see an earlier post somewhere on this blog).

I'd forgotten about Halloween madness when two energetic children are in anticipation mode. It was such fun to watch and listen and remember. Almost all of my recent passions (making my own rolling home, Oliver, job prospects) and continuing passions (incredible children of mine, legal reform, writing my book(s?)) were thoroughly discussed and doubting Patricks swayed thanks to the Wonderful Web.

In the wee hours, Patrick and I watched a classic movie I hadn't seen for decades: Easy Rider. Poor him. He was so tired from his week and this was a workday after all. Missed the last five minutes. [PS: It really did end the way I told you, buddy!]

I was properly instructed to sleep in the spare room instead of driving myself home. Thanks Patrick. This morning I visited with Marina and Keenan before I came home to feed my little zoo. I rather think they both missed me!

More connecting with wonderful people in my life is planned for today. I'm going to call some of them and see at least one in person. Great start to my current year of living like I really mean it again.
