The TODO list for today (like a GOTO, but more work ;-) was made after a tea break about noon. Considering the fact that it was a short shopping around for solutions day and that I was taking it relatively easy because it was Sunday, you know, eight and a half out of twelve is respectable. Unless you know what they all were perhaps? The most logistically challenging one (number one on the list as a matter of fact!) did not get done. That was "take down the shelves".
[Seems to me I posted this very thing a day or two ago ... or was that a dream about posting I had ... ?]
The painting of the brilliant and inexpensive pot hanging dowel was not completed until this evening. I suppose it's not even yet completed since the paint is still drying. After that, there will be the drilling of a couple of holes in the shelf above the sink (very high and pretty useless without a stepstool) and the installation of two eye bolts. This is the "half" done, "half" not done item.
If I could hurry the drying of paint, I would have this completed. It's that enamel rust proof indestructible stuff. The kind that's washable, too. I started using it on the picture frame a week ago and now on the dowel. The picture frame project is drying for the last time as well tonight. It started out brown wood with some scratches and dents. A St. V de P find. I have made a design decision regarding picture frames that will be wall hung. I think it's another brilliant idea: they will be colourless (clip frames) or white. In this manner they will all go together in any arrangements my little heart desires and they will work with any colour scheme. Cool, huh? The ones I scooped up the other day are white, too. From the same place and with some minor but unsightly scratches and grey marks on their faces. Lucky I've already got white paint. Wow. Things are just falling into place now.
I did not get around to these: clipping the nails of the inhabitants of my little zoo; cleaning Dixie's ears; and moving my bike down to the ground level (it's currently suspended from the railing on the little porch thing because of the mud splashing up when it rained thing which has now be rectified by the purchase and placement of several bags of pine bark nugget things).
Looks like tomorrow's list has been started
